Senior Researcher
Department of Earth Sciences
Petros Bogiatzis is a geophysicist who studies Earth’s interior using seismic waves and other geophysical data over a wide range of scales, from the near surface, to Earth’s Crust and the upper Mantle in mid-ocean ridges and subduction zones. His research is focused on theoretical, methodological and computational aspects of tomographic imaging, such as investigating novel approaches in solving large inverse problems and efficient approximations of the waveform propagation problem
